Call Recorder Cards contain instructions for creating a setting where the calls to be recorded are rerouted through a telecommunications-recording switch. The Card does NOT in any way connect to the phone, NOR does it replace existing phone service 

When the system is active, the call starts off and ends at the Caller and Call Receiver respectively; however, each recorded call is rerouted through a recording switch before it ends at the call receiver. Although it is possible to set up the system to record calls automatically with no indication during the call that it is being recorded, there is some set up processes that must be followed in order to achieve this.  

To this end, we have formulated three main 'Scenarios' where the Card can be used effectively; one of these Scenarios should fit each case in order for the recordings to be carried out.

These scenarios are as follows:

When Using A New Cell Phone

• Inbound Calls:
  • You are provided another phone number to give out for conversations that need to be recorded.
• Outbound Calls:
  • Dial a pre-programmed speed dial number, wait for the dial tone, then dial the number to call

When Using An Existing Cell Phone With New Number

• Inbound Calls:
  • You are provided a new phone number to give out for conversations that need to be recorded.
• Outbound Calls:
  • Dial a pre-programmed speed dial number, wait for the dial tone, then dial the number to call.

When Using An Existing Cell Phone With Existing Number

• Inbound Calls:
  • Calls made to the existing phone number are automatically forwarded to an alternate phone; all calls on the alternate phone are recorded.
• Outbound Calls:
  • Dial a pre-programmed speed dial number, wait for the dial tone, then dial the number to call.

Additional Uses of Cards

Additionally, where it is feasible from a legal perspective in accordance with both federal and local state laws, the Call Recorder Card could be used on a target cell phone with no indication before or during the call that inbound calls are being recorded as follows.  

1) On a Nextel phone equipped with alternate line service

If the target phone is compatible with the aforementioned service, we can set up a situation with the call forwarding feature of the phone that all inbound calls can be recorded completely seamlessly. Number portability between cell phone providers means that this is an option even if Nextel does not currently provide the target phone.

2) Changing SIM card: Placing a new SIM Card in the target phone, replacing the current one

Before the SIM card is changed, the target phone's call forwarding feature is set to a number that we will provide the user. When the SIM card is changed, our system will reroute all inbound calls to the new SIM card in the target phone. The effect is seamless, so that the target phone will still receive calls on the old number, and they will be recorded.

One aspect to bear in mind with this set up is that if personal information is stored on the SIM card of the target phone, it must be transferred to the new SIM card. In many phones, all the personal information is stored on the phone itself, not the SIM, so this would not be an issue.

3) In an Office/PBX Setting

Where there is a need to achieve recordings of specific employees behind a central PBX or switchboard at an office, we can achieve this for inbound and outbound calls on a case-by-case consultancy basis. This could involve some simple programming of the PBX/switchboard system to achieve the recordings automatically on the outbound calls. This is the perfect mechanism for reviewing and/or documenting employee performance digitally on a state of the art system without any equipment or software needed.

4) As a Calling Card Plan

We have had a few suggestions from some customers for seamlessly recording outbound calls. The owner of the target phone is told that they have a new calling card plan on the phone that is much cheaper than the current rate. To use the plan, they are given an 800 number to dial just like a regular calling card, and enter a PIN also just like a calling card. Upon dialing this number (which can be saved to memory and doesn’t require entering each time), they will hear a dial tone, and will make the call as they would regularly from a dial tone. This has been especially popular in cases of worried parents who receive the bills of their minors cell phones, and would like to monitor phone usage.
